Education 4.0: Technology & Globalization

What is the purpose of education in a timeframe of 4 years? A lifetime? Generations? Please join IdeasXChange, a UBC student-led initiative that aims to solve today’s modern issues through education and dialogue, on Thursday October 18th, 2018.

The session will explore questions concerning the future of education in an era of rapid change. The event will tap into the knowledge and experiences of leaders in the field, to explore education from social, technological, and pedagogical perspectives. Speakers include
Dr. Vanessa Andreotti – Professor, EDST,  & Canada Research Chair in Race, Inequalities and Global Change at the University of British Columbia. Her research examines the systemic reproduction of inequalities through educational systems and how these limit or enable possibilities for collective existence and global change.
