Her doctoral research is the investigation on the narratives of exchange students between Canada and the Republic of Korea, drawing on Appadurai’s (1990) metaphor of ethno-, finance-, media, techno, ideoscapes and the notion of social imaginary of Rizvi and Lingard (2010).
Jeong-Ja has worked for the Korean Federal Ministry of Education for 12 years. She accumulated numerous administrative experiences in relation to internationalization, including scholarship programs, ODA (official development assistance), and multi-lateral collaborations with international organizations (e.g., OECD, UNESCO, ASEM, etc.).
