The Department of Educational Studies has an opening for an instructor to teach EDUC 500 (Research Methodology in Education) during Summer Term 1 (May 14-June 22, 2012).  The class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4.30-7.30 p.m. in Scarfe 201.
 
This course is an overview of methodological approaches to research in education.  It surveys research issues and techniques in a manner intended to assist the student in selecting a limited number of research methods and strategies for more intensive study.  This course is intended to familiarize students with methods for the conduct of research in education; describe resources for the conduct of research; offer student assignments that take into account their personal research interests.
 
We will be requiring both quantitative and qualitative methodologists, therefore applicants should mention their quantitative or qualitative backgrounds and experience.
