Kapil Dev Regmi is a third year PhD Candidate in the Department of Educational Studies (EDST). Before joining UBC, he worked as a college lecturer, researcher and educational consultant in Nepal.
Kapil is interested in international development, comparative education, and educational policy analysis. His doctoral studies have undertaken critical analysis of educational policy documents to explore how lifelong learning policy developed in the OECD contexts is transferred to some of the impoverished nations of the world, known as the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), through some donor agencies such as the World Bank.
Kapil works as a Graduate Academic Assistant (GAA) in EDST. Some of his roles as GAA include organising workshops and brown bag events on various aspects of academic publishing such as conference presentations, writing publishable academic papers, citation management, and selecting appropriate journals for publication.
