SESSIONAL LECTURER POSITIONS for Summer Session – 2025-2026 (ADHE)

The Department of Educational Studies will offer sessional lecturer positions for the 2025/2026 Summer
Session in Adult and Higher Education (ADHE) undergraduate courses.


Summer Term 1 Online – 3.0 credits per section, May 11 – June 18, 2026
ADHE 328, Institutions of Adult Education – 1 section
ADHE 329, Developing Short Courses, Workshops & Seminars – 2 sections


To be eligible to teach courses at 300 or 400 level, applicants should hold a doctoral degree, or have
achieved doctoral candidacy, in a discipline relevant to the course title. Preference will generally be
given to applicants with relevant post-secondary and online teaching experience and demonstrated
experience in the content of the courses. Course instructor duties may include: teaching, meeting with
students, updating course content, marking assignments, reporting grades, and attending orientation
meetings as well as professional development sessions, where applicable.

Returning Sessional Instructors:

  • Any updates on your:
    • Cover letter, in relation to your teaching and professional development
    • Full CV
    • Contact details and residency
    • Teaching record and evaluation

New Sessional Instructors:
Application packages should contain the following items:

  • Sessional Instructor Application Form obtainable from the department website
  • Cover letter that explains: areas of expertise, experience in post-secondary teaching, basic principles of teaching philosophy
  • Full most updated CV
  • Teaching evaluation or peer review of teaching, if available
  • Names and contact details (email and phone number) of 2 references who can speak to your teaching
