You may register for this course whether or not you have a specific practicum project in mind, and Kari will work on setting up a project that suits your interests and skills. All projects will be done in pairs. Practicum projects will be focused on aspects of experiential education, which may include community engaged learning, outdoor education, work integrated learning, arts-based learning, Indigenous and land based learning projects, and many forms of curriculum and resource development. Students in this course will be expected to fulfill two aspects: 1.) 3 in-person sessions of four hours each (for a total of 12 in-class hours). These sessions are mandatory. 2.) Ongoing communication and meetings with project partner / community partners as needed (and according to your own schedule).
