The Department of Educational Studies will offer sessional lecturer positions for the 2025/2026 Winter Session.
Winter Term 2 Online – 3.0 credits per section, January 5 – April 10, 2026
ADHE 327, Teaching Adults – 1 section
ADHE 412, An Overview of Adult Education – 1 section
To be eligible to teach courses at a 300 or 400 level, applicants must hold a master’s or doctoral degree or have been admitted to candidacy in a doctoral program. Preference is given to applicants with PhD (or EdD) degree in adult education or in a field/discipline relevant to the course title. Experience teaching in an online environment is preferred. There will be approximately 30 students enrolled in online courses.
Course instructor duties may include some or all of the following: using Canvas, the course management system, and its key features; updating course materials and assignments; actively monitoring and directing online discussions; fostering learning through occasional synchronous sessions and recorded lectures; marking assignments and providing feedback to students; being available during “office hours” including in-person meetings with students; and reporting grades.
Preference will be given to applicants who can contribute to the existing strengths of ADHE courses in terms of the mode of delivery, maintaining academic integrity, and helping students learn the most up-to-date knowledge in the field.

The offers made to doctoral candidates are subject to permission from the research supervisor and Graduate Advisor.
