I am a transdisciplinary scholar-practitioner working at the intersections of public and social innovation, transformative learning, and complex socio-economic and ecological wellbeing and justice challenges. I completed my interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Educational Studies and Public Policy at the University of British Columbia (2021), examining how public sector innovation labs catalyze transformation through participatory action research with international practitioners. I then completed two concurrent postdoctoral fellowships: one as Social Innovation Researcher-in-Residence with Metro Vancouver’s Zero Emissions Innovation Centre at Emily Carr University of Art and Design; and another leading an international community of practice exploring transformative public innovation toward social and ecological justice at UBC’s School of Community and Regional Planning. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow with UBC Educational Studies leading a SSHRC Insight-funded project in collaboration with Emily Carr called: When Strong Currents Meet: Swimming in the Waters of Learning for Transformation Pedagogies.
