This course is organized around the following questions:
- How have capitalist economies changed over the past half century, and what do changes mean for students and workers?
- How are current labour market trends—including AI, platform work, and calls for green economy approaches—impacting learning for, in, and through work?
- How have formal education institutions responded to changes through their professional-vocational work learning programs and pedagogies?
- How does critical theoretical scholarship help us make sense of changes and responses?
