EDST was well represented at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education’s Centre for Integrative Anti-racism Studies’ 12th Decolonizing Conference (Nov 9-11, 2023).
This included from left to right- Henry Lee, Chris Stewart, Handel Wright, Gail Stromquist, and Daniel Shiu.
Handel Wright presented a paper titled “Decolonize This! Youth Activism and Academia as Public Sphere on a plenary session of the conference. Henry Lee and Daniel Shiu co-presented a paper titled “Implementing EDI Policies within Educational Organizations: Challenges & Possibilities.” And Stephanie Glick (not pictured) co-presented a paper titled “Theory! Body! Wisdom! Paper!: Embodied journaling as a pedagogy of healing in the anti-racism and anti-colonial feminist classroom.
