Speaker: Henry Lee
Biography: Henry Lee is the Assistant Director, Leadership & Member Training Professional and Social Issues Division at the BC Teachers’ Federation. His portfolio includes union leadership workshop development and revision, union leadership conferences, and other union training opportunities. He also teaches at the Labour College of Canada in the areas of inquiry processes, strategic thinking and planning. Henry is also a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Educational Studies at UBC, where he teaches part-time. His research is on equity, diversity, inclusion and intersectionality within educational leadership. Previously, Henry taught French Immersion, History and Social Studies for 17 years in Burnaby where he was a Department Head of Modern Languages. He has served as an Adjunct Professor/Faculty Advisor in LLED at UBC where he taught French and modern languages methodologies and English Language Learner methodology. Henry has worked as a Faculty Associate in the PDP program at SFU responsible for the International Teacher Educational Module.
