Professor Claudia Ruitenberg has received the 2023 Distinguished Service Award of the Canadian Philosophy of Education Society (CPES). The award is given for “important contributions in teaching, research, and professional service to philosophy of education in Canada over an extended period of time.” In addition to her teaching and research, Claudia has held various offices in CPES over the years: she was President (2016–2019), Co-Chair of the Thesis and Dissertation Awards Committee (2012–2014), Secretary/Treasurer (2007–2011), and Program Coordinator (2006-2007).
