The Indigenous Faculty Circle, here in the Faculty of Education at UBC, recognizes the significant contributions that Dr. Cash Ahenakew has made to advancing Indigenous knowledge, teaching, research, and engagement. His work has impacted our faculty’s commitments to decolonization, reconciliation, and inclusion. Dr. Ahenakew has demonstrated a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Indigenous faculty, staff, and students, and he works alongside the Circle to create an environment that empowers Indigenous voices (Indigenous Faculty Circle, October 25, 2023).
