The Department of Educational Studies has an opening for a Sessional Lecturer (Tutor), to assist the instructor with delivery of the following 3-credit online course in the Adult Learning and Global Change (ALGC) Program for the upcoming 2025-26 Winter Term 1 (September 2-December 5, 2025). The pay for this appointment will be at the current Sessional Lecturer rate.
EDST 540A, Locating Oneself in Global Learning, requires a Sessional Instructor (Tutor), to assist the Instructor with delivering the course. This is a required and first course in the MEd in Adult Learning and Global Change (ALGC) program. The tutor will lead small group discussions within the course, comprised of students from the collaborating universities, and assist with marking and other course-related matters as determined by the Instructor. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in adult education (or closely related area), have considerable experience with online learning, preferably using Microsoft SharePoint and Office 360. The tutor must be knowledgeable of the research literature on adult learning and education in the context of current economic, environmental, political, cultural, social, and other changes affecting the planet.
