Teaching Online

Access

  1. Open CANVAS https://canvas.ubc.ca (and log in if prompted)
  2. Courses – choose your course section
  3. From the list on the left, choose Collaborate Ultra

Creating a Session

  1. Click Create Session
  2. Basic Settings
  3. To automatically repeat sessions:

    1. Check “Repeat session”
    2. Choose which days of the week to repeat (e.g. Mon, Wed, Fri)
    3. At the End After Occurences dropdown – select End On Date
    4. Select last session’s date
    5. Save
  4. Additional Settings
  5. Save
  6. Your session is created

Editing a session

  1. At your session, click the circle with 3 dots
  2. Edit and save

Start a session

  1. Click
  2. Click the specific session
  3. When prompted, allow
    Tick “Remember this decision”
  4. Click the Microphone and Video icons to turn them on
  5. If prompted, allow
    Tick “Remember this decision”
  6. Share

  1. Right Menu
  2. Left menu
