Isabeau Iqbal enjoys two different professional roles and identities: one as a career coach for ambitious perfectionists in higher education and the other as an educational developer at the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) at the University of British Columbia. Isabeau derives immense satisfaction from her coaching work (isabeauiqbal.com) because she loves to help people find greater satisfaction within their career. In addition, she relishes the creative aspects of being a solopreneur and the constant learning. Isabeau is certified with the International Coaching Federation and is also a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. In her role as an educational developer, Isabeau works within the UBC community to enhance teaching and student learning. At the CTLT, she leads the formative peer review of teaching initiative and supports faculty members to grow in their capacity as educational leaders. Isabeau’s educational background is in adult education and the sociology of higher education. She completed her MA and PhD in EDST. Outside of work, Isabeau loves to hike, be active in the outdoors, and spend time with her family. She’s an avid podcast listener and is always curious to know what others are listening to.
